LINCOLN SQUARE — Think your property taxes are too high?

You could be right.

Learn how the appeals process works at an information session set for 6 p.m. Tuesday at Sulzer Library, 4455 N. Lincoln Ave.

Cook County Board of Review staff will be on hand to answer questions. Bring a copy of your second installment property tax bill for reference.

According to the Cook County assessor, the three most common grounds for appeal are:

• Lack of uniformity — the assessed value of your home is not uniform with that of comparable homes.

• Overvaluation — the assessed value of your home is too high.

• Property description error — such as incorrect square footage.
