LINCOLN SQUARE — Lincoln Square is the latest target of the Flu Bug, which has been sweeping the nation.

The can't-miss Volkswagen Beetle  — license plate "NFLUNZA" — was spotted parked on Lawrence Avenue Sunday evening, between Damen and Western.

Fear not, germophobes: the Flu Bug is spreading awareness, not a virus.

The auto is a mobile ad for a do-it-yourself flu test.

Seasonal flu activity can begin as early as October and continue through May, though it typically peaks between December and March, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The CDC recommends a flu shot by the end of October for everyone 6 months and older.
