RAVENSWOOD MANOR — Drivers might be gradually adjusting to the Manor diverter, which cuts off the avenue's through traffic at Wilson, but guess who's still navigationally-challenged?

Maps.

A quick test of Mapquest and Google Maps (desktop and mobile) showed that neither is up to speed on the new traffic configuration, which also prohibits motorists on Wilson from turning left or right onto Manor.

But the crowd-sourced traffic app Waze — frequently blamed for encouraging drivers to use Manor in the first place — was alerting motorists to steer clear of the diverter.

Nearly two weeks into the diverter's trial period, set to run through Nov. 18, the traffic-calming measure continues to prove divisive among neighbors.

A "Stop the Diverter" group has set up a Facebook page and Twitter account, while a petition in support of the diverter has garnered 138 signatures.

Feedback on the diverter can be shared directly with Ald. Deb Mell (33rd) and the Chicago Department of Transportation via email at manorgreenway@gmail.com.

We used Waters Elementary as the start point and First Slice Pie Cafe as the end point of our test. Mapquest still thinks drivers can turn from Wilson onto Manor.

Google Maps isn't up to speed on the Manor diverter, but the crowd-sourced traffic app Waze is.
