Chance has been to the White House before. He visited in April to discuss the "My Brother's Keeper" initiative. In an interview with GQ, Chance said the First Family frequently listens to his music.

Chance is fresh of his Magnificent Coloring Day festival at U.S. Cellular Field, which broke the attendance record at the South Side ball park.
