LINCOLN PARK — What's the best restaurant in Lincoln Park? How about the best place for a cup of coffee?

For the first time, residents are invited to nominate their favorite neighborhood spots for Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce's inaugural "Top 10 Awards."

The chamber is asking for nominations beginning Wednesday through most of October.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony Oct. 24 at Steppenwolf Theatre, 1650 N. Halsted St., from 5-8 p.m.

Here are the categories: Best Place to Dine, Best Place to Brunch, Best Place to Grab Coffee or Sweets, Best Place to Drink, Best Place to Shop, Best Place for Arts and Culture, Best Place to Get Fit & Refreshed and Best Neighborhood Service Provider.

“Our community is passionate and loyal. We’re so excited to celebrate our Lincoln Park favorites by asking the people that matter most — their customers,” said Kim Schilf, president and CEO of the chamber, in a prepared statement.

Tickets for the awards ceremony ($45 for advanced and $55 at the door) include cocktails and food samples from local businesses.

But there is a chance to save $10 if you act fast. There's a limited number of tickets available for $35 that will be available from Wednesday through Sept. 23.

The chamber will release a complete list of participating locations and more information on the ceremony's food and drink options in the coming weeks.

For more information and to buy tickets, visit the chamber's website.
