BACK OF THE YARDS — A 51-year-old man was shot to death in Back of the Yards early Wednesday morning, police said.
At 12:35 a.m., the man was arguing with another man in the 5100 block of South Honore Street when the other man pulled out a gun and shot him in his abdomen, according to a police incident report.
Officers later found the man lying wounded in the street, police said.
He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said. He was later pronounced dead.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office later identified the man as Bruce E. Smith, of the same block.
No one is in custody, police said.
