EDGEWATER — If you've ridden the Broadway Bus, you probably have a story.
For a Logan Square woman, her story is how a man peed on her leg this month.
It happened at 3:20 p.m. Sept. 12. The 34-year-old woman was sitting near the back of the bus when a man dropped his pants and urinated on her leg, according to a police report of the incident.
"What are you doing!?!" the woman screamed.
The man told her he was drunk and begged her not to report him.
He scrambled off the bus at the next stop, running out the rear door on Broadway and running east on Berwyn Avenue, toward the Red Line "L" stop.
The bus driver told police the man asked him when he boarded to be sure and tell him when the bus was stopping at Greenleaf Avenue. Based on that, police alerted officers in the area and made a tour of the area in search of the man but did not make any arrests, according to the report.
Officers are trying to get video of the incident from the bus’ camera at the time the report was made. The woman was taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital for a precautionary check and released, police said.
