RIVER NORTH — A pedestrian was hospitalized after getting hit by a SUV that rolled over in River North Thursday afternoon, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

Around 12:05 p.m., a SUV hit another car at Grand Avenue and LaSalle Street, causing the SUV to roll over and hit a pedestrian, according to Larry Langford, a Chicago Fire Department spokesman.

The pedestrian was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, Langford said.

The air bag of the car was deployed and the occupants of the car were able to crawl out of the car unharmed, Langford said.
