LINCOLN PARK — A 1920s-era building housing élu boutique and Owen + Alchemy juice bar might come down to make way for a mixed-use development.

Thad Wong, co-owner of @properties, wants to tear down the building at 1211 W. Webster Ave. and build a four-story, mixed-use development in its place, according to the Sheffield Neighbors Association.

Plans include first-floor retail, three residential units on the top floors and three parking spaces in the back, the association said.

The developer is seeking a zoning change and rear setback relief, requiring a community meeting. The meeting, which will be hosted by the neighborhood association and Ald. Brian Hopkins (2nd), is set for Sept. 20 at Little Sisters of the Poor's auditorium, 2325 N. Lakewood Ave., beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Owen + Alchemy opened its first Lincoln Park location as a pop-up inside élu boutique about a month ago. Owner Anne Owen was not immediately available to comment on the potential move.

élu boutique has additional locations in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Aspen, according to its website. A representative for the boutique couldn't be immediately reached for comment.

In July, Benninghoven Interests LLC sold the 96-year-old building to 1205 W Webster LLC for $2.9 million, according to county records.
