CHICAGO — Tired of your 9 to 5? Dream of touring the country with a talented band of ... cats?

The Amazing Acro-cats and Rock Cats are hiring a tour assistant. The Chicago-based performance group is comprised of formerly stray or orphaned cats who play the drums and guitar, roll barrels, ride skateboards, climb ropes, jump through hoops and walk a hire wire, according to the group's website.

They will appear Oct. 6-9 at the Vittum Theater, 1012 N. Noble St., and the group needs an assistant who can help care for the Rock Cats as they tour across the country in the coming months.

The assistant will have to "wrangle" cats, move props and help the master trainer, according to a Craigslist post. He or she will also have to help with selling merchandise, caring for the cats and coordinating volunteers during the cats' tour.

The job will be full time, according to the post. They're looking for a bus driver as well. Check out the tour schedule here

The circus cats are all rescues and the troupe aims to promote the benefits of cat adoption and cat training through its shows.
