EDGEBROOK — North Branch Arts' annual fundraiser will give arts lovers a chance to laugh for a good cause.
Comedian Sonya White will headline the Art of Comedy fundraiser scheduled to take place from 7:30-11 p.m. Friday at 5421 W. Devon Ave.
White, whose routines focus on her "Southern charm and big city street smarts," appeared on "Star Search" "Last Comic Standing 4," event organizers said.
The event will also include food from Edgebrook restaurants, an art sale, raffle and music.
Edgebrook resident Bill Bunker, who moonlights as a comedian, will host the event.
North Branch Arts, which also cultivates a garden in downtown Edgebrook, offers classes and workshops in multidisciplinary art, literature, music, creative writing, gardening, test prep and financial literacy.
