EAST SIDE — Chicagoans celebrated Labor Day in some interesting ways at an East Side parade on Saturday.

But, hey, we can pretty much do whatever we want: After all, Chicago labor leaders are pretty much the reason we have the holiday.

From children dabbing to giant rats, here's what you missed:

1. This little girl dabbing

2. An enormous rat

The inflatable rat is actually an important symbol to union members and is frequently used to draw attention to striking workers.

3. Cute little kids riding horses

4. The South Shore Drill Team

5. This little boy who wasn't impressed

6. This...thing

Nothing says Labor Day like a lizard on top of a pipe on top of a fire.
