CHICAGO — Delon Grant Sims, 23, was shot dead Aug. 31 in Oakland, police said.
At 9:16 p.m., Sims was sitting in his car in the 4000 block of South Lake Park Avenue, talking to a man outside his car, when the man outside the car took out a gun and fired shots, police said.
Sims was hit in the upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Sims, of the 5400 block of West Kamerling, was pronounced dead at 9:35 p.m. Aug. 31, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died of multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.
No one was in custody.
