LINCOLN PARK — The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum is offering free admission Thursday to Chicago Public Schools students.

The museum, 2430 N. Cannon Drive, normally costs $6 for children between 3-12 years of age, $7 for students and seniors and $9 for adults.

Be sure to check out the live box turtle feeding, which kicks off at 1 p.m. An hour later, the butterflies will be released at the Judy Istock Butterfly Haven.

Kids can use the museum's storm simulator and find out what it's like to be a meteorologist in front of a green screen.

Visitors are also encouraged to check out the museum's art exhibitions, including one on the birth of chocolate and one on birds that collide with Chicago's skyscrapers.

For more information on activities and exhibits, visit the museum's website.
