HYDE PARK — The Frank Lloyd Wright Trust will be opening the Robie House on Fridays for drinks and training new tour guides in October.

The Frank Lloyd Wright-designed house at 5757 S. Woodlawn Ave. will again stay open late this year on Fridays in October for drinks and food.

A live jazz band will play and the house will be open for people to wander around without a tour guide from 5-8 p.m. on Fridays in October.

Admission is $35, $30 for members of the trust.

For those who want the full access all of the time that only tour guides get, the trust is offering training again in October for new volunteer interpreters.

The training, which lasts three weeks and includes online study, class lectures and workshops, starts on Oct. 25 and continues on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturdays through Nov. 10.
