VIDEO: The 'Brianna & Jaelin Walking Tour' Trailer Is Here; Couple Responds

By Linze Rice | August 30, 2016 1:28pm | Updated on August 31, 2016 2:20pm

EDGEWATER — Brianna and Jaelin White, the teenage Arizona couple who both incensed and humored Chicagoans last week with a video explaining why they moved away from the city, posted a new video Tuesday reacting to the online hate and urging the public to move on.

"That's what life is about, we all do dumb things, we all go through weird experiences," Brianna said in the 7 minute long video. "We're just sharing everything with you. A lot of the times it gets hard when it gets shared to a bigger level of people that aren't following you and that don't give a ffff about you."

The pair also reacted to the viral "Brianna and Jaelin White Walking Tour" created by Edgewater resident and comedian Kevin Fergus that re-traced the neighborhood locations mentioned in the couples' original story.

Thousands RSVP'd to the event via Facebook.

Tuesday morning, Fergus said he got a notification from Facebook regarding the page, which appeared to have been removed when he clicked on it.

"It said, 'An item you posted was reported as abusive, please respect Facebook's terms of use in the future,' or something like that," Fergus said.

However, later Tuesday, Facebook sent him a note saying the event had been mistakenly removed. The event has since been restored as of late Tuesday afternoon.

The Whites have asked their followers not to participate in the event.

"I would definitely not recommend going," Brianna said, before the couple responded to some of the comments and posts on the event page.

Overall, the Whites said in an emailed statement to DNAinfo they hope their story will inspire others make a "positive difference" in the world.

"We just hope that people would use this opportunity to make a positive difference in their community," the couple said. "We never thought the video would get this much exposure and just hope that something positive can be made out of it by doing things like helping the homeless and uniting as a city."
