LINCOLN SQUARE — These days, you can find beer that tastes like Mexican street corn, doughnuts and Key Lime pie. So why not have a beer that tastes like your favorite childhood breakfast: a toaster pastry.

Last year, the San Francisco-based brewery 21st Amendment rolled out it's Pop Tart-inspired IPA to the delight of 30-somethings everywhere. And this week at The Grafton, 4530 N. Lincoln Ave., you can pair the delightfully nostalgic-tasting India Red Ale with homemade toaster pastries made to pair perfectly with the beer.

The Irish bar will be slinging the Pop-Tart brews paired with a homemade pastry for $7. If you just want a beer, it'll cost you $5.50. If you just want a pastry, they're $3. The event starts at 7 p.m. and runs through 9 or until the pastries run out.

21st Amendment rolled out Toaster Pastry to honor its new-ish California facility, which used to house a Kellogg factory. The brewery is also known for Hell of High Watermelon, a summery favorite, and Down To Earth session IPA, started selling its beers in Chicago in 2015.
