Lincoln Square Shooting Wounds Man, 21, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 21-year-old man was shot in Lincoln Square late Sunday, according to police.

The man was in the 5000 block of North Francisco Avenue at 9:15 p.m. when shots rang out, police said.

He was struck in his buttocks and left leg and managed to get himself to Swedish Covenant Hospital, where his condition was not released, but police considered the man to be "stable."

The man is not being cooperative with detectives and is giving police contradictory statements on the event, according to police.

No arrests have been made.
