UPTOWN — Uptown residents will soon have a new option for coffee, deli sandwiches and snacks.
The shop, which has yet to be named, will open at 4759 N. Sheridan Road across from Weiss Plaza. The store will open next door to Papa Ray's Pizza and Wings.
The owner of the building, Mohammed Hashish, said he owned a similar store in New York before moving to Glen Ellyn about a year ago.
He hopes to open the shop in the next two months, he said.
"We're doing a lot of cleanup. It looked pretty nasty before," Hashish said.
