OLD TOWN — Heads up, drivers: This weekend's 58th annual Air & Water show will cause some street closures and parking restrictions in Old Town.
From midnight Friday-8 p.m. Sunday, the city is planning the following street closures:
• LaSalle Street from Clark Street to Lake Shore Drive
• Inner Lake Shore Drive from LaSalle Street to Burton Place
• North Avenue and Fullerton Avenue exits on North Lake Shore Drive
• North Avenue and Clark Street
There will also be "No Parking" restrictions on the following streets from 5 a.m. Saturday to 7 p.m. Sunday:
• North Avenue: North and south sides of the street from Clark Street to Clybourn Avenue, north side from Clark Street to Astor Street
• LaSalle Street: North and south sides of the street from Burton Street to North Avenue
• Clark Street: East side of the street from LaSalle Street to Wisconsin Street
Ald. Brian Hopkins (2nd) said the city might close more streets if the Chicago Police Department deems it necessary.
