MCKINLEY PARK —  The 77 Beats cultural festival is coming to the neighborhood Sunday.

In partnership with the Chicago Park District and the McKinley Park Advisory Council, the Old Town School of Folk Music welcomes the neighborhood to celebrate the cultures of 77 neighborhoods in Chicago. 77 Beats is the successor of Iron Heart Chicago, which staged 60 concerts on L platforms all the over the city last June.

The program begins at 2210 W. Pershing Road at noon with a community drummer circle led by musician and educator John Yost. Drums will be provided.

At 1 p.m., the Mexican Folklore Dance Company of Chicago will perform with Mexican music group Son Monarcas.

Before the music kicks off, Southside Om will lead morning yoga from 10-10:30 a.m. Bring a yoga mat or beach towel.

There will be morning crafts for children from 10 a.m.-noon. They’ll make shakers for the noon drum circle.
