ALBANY PARK — Heads will be spinning in Albany Park this week.

The upcoming TV show "The Exorcist" will be filming scenes in the neighborhood Wednesday, Thursday and next Monday.

The series, starring Oscar-winner Geena Davis as the mother of a possessed daughter, is a new take on the classic 1973 horror film. The news release for the show describes it as "a propulsive, serialized psychological thriller following two very different men tackling one family's case of horrifying demonic possession, and confronting the face of true evil."

As for Davis role, the film's producers say her character is "naturally beautiful, regal and proud but weighed down by stress." She "does everything she can to stay positive and keep her faith even though her family is struggling. She can't help but think, however, if perhaps her nightmares about a demon are a sign of what's wrong."

The premiere is set for Sept. 23 on Fox.

No parking and tow zones will be in effect during the filming:

• 6 a.m. Wednesday to 8 p.m. Thursday, south side of Lawrence Avenue from Kimball to Spaulding.

• 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 22, south side of Lawrence Avenue from Kimball to Spaulding.
