CHICAGO — Don't expect to relax outside this week: It'll be hot and humid until the weekend.

Temperatures in Chicago will hit the high 80s on Tuesday, but things will get even hotter every day after that, said AccuWeather meteorologist Carl Erickson.

Wednesday will be dry and "hot and humid," Erickson said. It'll hit about 90 degrees, and Thursday and Friday will be in the low 90s, Erickson said.

Wednesday "evening's not too bad," Erickson said. "But really the next few days it's going to be hot and humid out there."

There will be a bit of relief on Friday, when there will be a chance for spotty rain showers throughout the day, Erickson said. There's also a chance a stronger storm will hit sometime noon-6 p.m.

Things will cool off for the weekend, with Saturday and Sunday only seeing high temperatures in the low 80s, Erickson said. Those will be the best days to get outside if you're trying to avoid the heat or rain, he said.
