River North Shooting Kills Maurice Selvy, 32, Wounds Another, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in River North left one man dead and another wounded early Saturday, police said.

At 3:25 a.m., the men were in the 800 block of North Cambridge Avenue when shots were fired, police said.

A 32-year-old man was hit in his head and chest and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as Maurice Selvy, of the 900 block of North Cambridge Avenue.

Another man, whose age was unknown, was hit in his left leg and was taken to a hospital.

No one was in custody in the shooting.
