PORTAGE PARK — A man sexually abused three women during three separate attacks in recent weeks — two in broad daylight in Jefferson Park and Portage Park, police said Saturday.

The first incident occurred at 10 p.m. July 5 as a 43-year-old woman walked to her car in the 5300 block of North Elston Avenue near LeClaire Avenue, when a man approached the woman and tried to start a conversation with her. The woman got into her car, and the man reached in and touched the victim's chest and genital area over her clothing, according to a statement from the Chicago Police Department.

The woman pushed the man away and he fled, police said.

The man is described as either white, Hispanic or Asian between 17 and 25 years old, between 5-foot-1-inch tall and 5-feet-5-inches tall, weighing between 120 and 140 pounds with short hair, police said.

In the second incident, a 35-year-old woman was walking in the 5200 block of North Laramie Avenue near Foster Avenue at 3:20 p.m. July 12 when the same man approached her and started a conversation. The man hit the woman's buttock and exposed himself before fleeing north on Laramie Avenue, police said.

Two days later, at 3:30 p.m. July 14, the same man approached a 17-year-old girl in the 6100 block of West Waveland Avenue near Meade Avenue, a block from O.A. Thorp Scholastic Academy. The man ran up and touched her buttock and chest before fleeing west on Waveland Avenue, police said.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call detectives at 312-744-8261.
