Free Jamila Woods And Avery R. Young Concert In Washington Park Friday

WASHINGTON PARK — Grassroots arts initiative Ode to the City will be hosting a free concert and Q&A session tonight featuring Chicago musician Jamila Woods in Washington Park.

The soul and hip-hop singer/songwriter, known for her collaboration with musical acts such as Chance the Rapper and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, will perform at the Arts Incubator, 301 E. Garfield Blvd., at 6:00 p.m. Friday. She will be joined by Avery R. Young, a local soul artist.

Woods will also lead a free writing and music workshop at the Arts Incubator on Monday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. alongside Avery R. Young and scholar/poet Camara Brown.

All events are free and open to the public.
