CHICAGO — A 22-year-old man was shot and wounded Wednesday night in Kenwood, police said.
At 10:52 p.m., the man was walking on the sidewalk in the 4900 block of South Woodlawn Avenue when a man walked up to him and fired shots, police said.
The victim was hit in the abdomen and was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said. The shooter drove off in a dark-colored sedan.
No one was in custody in the shooting.
