Hyde Park Jazz Festival Releases Full Schedule

HYDE PARK — The Hyde Park Jazz Festival has released its full lineup, so music lovers can start scheduling their dashes among 11  stages.

The annual music fest, scheduled for the weekend of Sept. 24 and 25 this year, spreads the music around the neighborhood, with more than 30 bands scheduled to perform everywhere from the main floor of Hyde Park Bank to Rockefeller Chapel to open-air stages on the Midway Plaisance.

Local favorites Dee Alexander and Willie Pickens are returning this year, joined by Randy Weston, with a special performance for his 90th birthday, a new commissioned work from Miguel Zenon and others.

As always, the festival is free and open to the public.
