Police To Crack Down On Drunken Drivers In Lincoln Park, River North

NEAR NORTH SIDE — Police will be on the lookout for drunken drivers in the Near North police district this weekend. 

The DUI Strike Force patrol will begin at 7 p.m. Friday and end at 3 a.m. Sunday in the Near North (18th) police district, which includes parts of Lincoln Park, Old Town, River North, Gold Coast and Streeterville.

Police will saturate the area to find drivers who are drunk, speeding or not wearing their seat belts.

During a similar effort in Albany Park, three people were arrested for drunken driving, four cars were towed and 61 tickets were issued.
