HYDE PARK — Add French movies in the park with free cheese to the list of options in during Hyde Park's warm summer evenings.

The neighborhood is one of four participating in a partnership between the French Embassy and the Chicago Park District to show French films in parks around the city.

The film “Entre Les Murs,” or “The Class” in English, will be shown for free at 8:15 p.m. July 24 at Harold Washington Park, 5200 S. Hyde Park Blvd.

The story follows a teacher and novelist during his first year at a school in a racially mixed and economically depressed neighborhood of Paris.

The Quentin Coaxum Jazz Quartet will perform at 7:15 p.m. before the movie.

Free cheese will also be served, courtesy of Babybel.
