White Sox Fans Surprise Chicago Police Officers With A Sweet Note

By Ed Komenda | July 12, 2016 2:49pm | Updated on July 12, 2016 3:00pm

ARMOUR SQUARE — White Sox fans aren't afraid to show some love.

At Sunday's Sox game against the Atlanta Braves, two young fans walked up to a group of Chicago Police officers at U.S. Cellular Field and handed them this note:

The note came from a boy named Andrew and his younger brother, Lucas, according to a post published on the Chicago Police Department Facebook.

The officers then asked for the boys' autographs and a photo:

Then the boys waved and walked away with their mom. The police officers never got their last names.

The note will now displayed at Deering District headquarters.

"Today was the first time in a long, long time where I felt my job was worthwhile to someone other than just me," the Facebook post said.
