UPTOWN — It's the second week of the month, which means Uptown is popping with community events.

It's supposed to be warm and sunny all weekend, so here are some things to get out and do.

Eat Like the President: For this month's 2nd Fridays on Argyle, Pho 777 will showcase the meal President Barack Obama ate while in Vietnam — Bún Chả Hà Nội. The monthly event invites Uptown residents to Argyle Street to dine at one of the restaurants along the strip. Pho 777, 1065 W. Argyle St. BYOB. 6-9 p.m. Friday.

Uptown Saturday Nights: This month's event features live music from Samuel del Real and his orchestra along with free salsa lessons. For more information on the free event click here. Buttercup Park, 4901 N. Sheridan Road. 7 p.m. Saturday.

Take a Walking Tour of the Uptown Entertainment District: The tours are lead by local guides from Choose Chicago's Greeter Program. The hour-long tours explore the rich history of the stretch of Broadway, once a destination for silent movie stars, home of movie palaces and legendary rock venues. The free tours begin at Crew Bar and Grill, 4804 N. Broadway, at 2 p.m. 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday.

Explore Mansions in Buena Park: Buena Park Neighbors are hosting 30-minute guided sidewalk tours of the George Maher Mansions Saturday. Check Out Whimsical Art: Last week, Everybody's Coffee held an opening reception for Heather Gautheir's new exhibit "Flora on Fauna." Wilson Ave.

Tent City Love Barbecue: Supporters of Uptown's homeless population will bring together residents of the various tent encampments and the community for a barbecue featuring live folk singers, mimes and a speak out from residents of Tent City. Saturday, marks the self-imposed deadline by city officials for the Homeless Pilot Program, which aimed to house 75 residents. Lake Shore Drive between Wilson and Lawrence Avenues.
