LINCOLN SQUARE — Celebrate the return of the No. 11 Lincoln Avenue bus with a transit-oriented pub crawl Monday.
A trio of bars from Lincoln Square to Lincoln Park are joining forces to attract riders along the portion of the No. 11 route that was canceled in 2012 and restored for a six-month trial in June.
The event, organized by @chicagobars and dubbed "For the Love of the #11," kicks off at 5 p.m. — because the bus only runs until 7 p.m. Participants will set out from Jerry's, at 4739 N. Lincoln Ave.
Additional stops include The Green Lady, 3328 N. Lincoln Ave., and Burnt City Brewing (formerly Atlas), 2747 N. Lincoln Ave., with the CTA playing designated driver.
There's no admission fee to join in the fun, just a CTA fare. Registration is requested (click here) so the bars will have an idea of how many people to expect. An RSVP also enters attendees in a prize drawing, and guests will receive updates on featured beers at each stop.
