THE LOOP — The Loop, a neighborhood full of new upscale food courts, is about to get another.

The yet-to-be-named food hall will open next spring at 205 W. Wacker Drive, according to a news release. The 10,500-square-foot market at Wacker and Wells is led by two investment firms and restaurateur Jonathan Fox, who owns Firecakes Donuts and River North restaurant Osteria La Madia.

“We have a special vision for the space at 205 West Wacker and some unique features in the works that we feel Chicagoans are really going to enjoy, come next spring," Victor Alvarez of New York-based Alvarez & Marsal Property Investments said in a statement.

The food court is "in discussions" with potential tenants, and will also include a full bar and grab-and-go market, a spokeswoman said. Chicagoans are asked to suggest restaurants using the #Devour205 hashtag on social media.

Fox has also done work for theWit hotel and Weber Grill.

Once open, the food court will join the likes of Eataly, Latinicity, 3 Greens Market and the forthcoming Revival Food Hall as new Downtown food courts offering more than typical fast food.
