BRIDGEPORT — Antique Taco, the neighborhood's newest Mexican fare at 1000 W. 35th St., will open Wednesday.

Owners Rick and Ashley Ortiz will open the doors at 5 p.m.

"We're just kind of getting our feet wet and getting ready to go," Ashley Ortiz said. "We're going live."

After four busy years at the original Antique Taco in Wicker Park, the opening will serve as a homecoming for Rick Ortiz, who grew up in Bridgeport with his family.

The site at the corner of 35th and Morgan streets will add to a hefty list of taco shops in the neighborhood.

The South Side Antique Taco’s menu — complete with beer and margaritas — will offer many of the same items as the Wicker Park location. Tacos are whipped up with family recipes and ingredients sourced in the neighborhood.

Menu additions include al pastor and enchiladas.
