CHICAGO — A 16-year-old boy and 20-year-old woman were shot in Humboldt Park on Thursday afternoon, police said.

At 2 p.m., the two were standing on the sidewalk in the 900 block of North Harding Avenue when a white car drove past and someone fired shots, said Officer Laura Amezaga, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The teen was hit in his chest, back and hand. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, Amezaga said.

The woman was hit in her right arm. She took herself to Norwegian American Hospital, where she was in good condition, Amezaga said.

No one was in custody in the shooting.
