IRVING PARK — Hot Doug's Dog Dayz of Summer fest may have been canceled, but encased meat lovers still have a reason to celebrate: The Elston Avenue Sausage & Music Fest is most definitely on this weekend.

Paulina Meat Market, Nottoli & Son, and Kate & Jan Hotdogs food truck are among the vendors slated to participate, noon to 10 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 3800 N. Elston Ave.

Centered just outside the Abbey Pub, the fest also boasts an eclectic music lineup ranging from glam rock to grunge. Acts include the Smoking Popes, HoneyHoney, Local H and Murder By Death.

Arts and craft vendors and kids activities round out the fest.

Admission is a $5 donation, with a portion of proceeds to benefit Athletic Field Park and Murphy Elementary School.
