LINCOLN PARK — The Lincoln Avenue corridor in Lincoln Park is seeing a resurgence lately with major development projects taking shape.

Calling it a "critical time to assess the corridor," the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce is now asking residents to weigh in on the future of the area by taking an online survey.

Those who participate (and enter their email address) will be entered to win a pair of tickets to this year's Lincoln Park wine stroll and a $50 gift certificate to a local restaurant.

Mina Bloom chats about the developments in Lincoln Park.

The goal of the survey is to involve the community in the future of the corridor. It's funded through the Lincoln Avenue Special Service Area and led by consultants.

"Given the tremendous changes to this corridor in the past decade, we need to know more about why people visit Lincoln Avenue and what they would like to see on Lincoln Avenue in the future, both in terms of new businesses and improvements to the streetscape," said Martin Sorge, the chamber's director of community development.

Sorge said his team is planning to release the results in the coming months.

At least three major construction projects are underway in the area: The redevelopment of Children's Memorial Hospital, Lincoln Centre complex and DePaul's music building.

Another developer recently proposed a residential project on Lincoln that calls for rents around $2,100 for 650 square feet of space.
