CHICAGO — A Woodlawn shooting left a 27-year-old man dead Thursday evening, police said.
At 6:11 p.m., the man was in the 6300 block of South Eberhart Avenue when he was shot in his face, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
The man was taken to Northwestern Hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead, Pacheco said.
The man was a documented gang member, police said.
No one was in custody in the shooting.
