HYDE PARK — The Museum of Science and Industry is staying open late July 16, but it's for some adults-only fun.
The museum, 5700 S. Lake Shore Drive, will host its “Brick Bash” from 7-10 p.m. with a chance for adults to build and play with Legos — and also build some cocktails.
It will be a chance for adults to see the “Brick by Brick” Lego exhibit and meet the creator of its 13 massive architecture pieces, Adam Reed Tucker, without any pesky kids around.
Guests will also be able to build their own meal of sliders and craft cocktails, and watch a live taping of WBEZ’s “General Admission” podcast with Tucker as the guest.
There will be free snacks and a free cocktail. There will also be a cash bar.
Tickets are $30 and includes parking in the museum’s garage, access to the “Brick by Brick” special exhibit and all exhibits normally included with general admission. Tickets are available at wbez.org/events.
