LINCOLN SQUARE — Most of the Davis Theater's extensive renovations are taking place behind boarded over windows and doors, but one exterior alteration is in plain view for all to see.
Last week, workers were on site to give the theater's soaring sign — one of Lincoln Square's most recognizable features — a fresh coat of paint. Eagle-eyed observers will notice that the crew made a slight change to the lettering.

The Davis is set to reopen by early fall after a $5 million makeover that includes the addition of the Carbon Arc restaurant and bar, as well as the restoration of one of the theater's screening rooms to its original 1920's Art Deco glory.
