HYDE PARK — The Hyde Park Community Players’ production of “An Ideal Husband” opens Thursday.

The group will premiere its production of the Oscar Wilde play at 8 p.m. Thursday at Experimental Station, 6100 S. Blackstone Ave.

The play is about a man forced to choose between his reputation and his honor with his wife’s love at stake, tackled with all the wit expected from Wilde.

Performances will be at 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and a reception following the Friday show. There will also be a matinee performance at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets are $10.75 and available at the Hyde Park Community Players website.
