Humboldt Park Shooting Wounds Man And Woman Standing Outside, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in West Humboldt Park left a 20-year-old man and 18-year-old woman wounded on Saturday morning, police said.

At 12:15 a.m., the man and woman were standing on the sidewalk in the 4100 block of West Potomac Avenue when they heard shots and felt pain, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was shot in his left buttock and the woman was shot in her lower right leg. They were taken to Stroger Hospital, where their conditions were not released but they were listed as "stable," Lemmon said.

The man was a documented gang member, police said.

No one was in custody.
