NORTH CENTER — It's a great weekend for thrifters, with several community-wide garage sales set for Saturday.

Hunt for treasures and bargains at hundreds of homes in North Center, Irving Park and Bowmanville.

Here's a brief guide:

North Center, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

More than 60 homeowners are taking part in the Northcenter Neighborhood Association's fifth annual community yard sale (see map).

That's a lot of ground to cover, which is one reason why the association has three designated "hospitality homes" where folks can grab a cup of coffee and rest their feet: 1856 W. Berenice Ave., 1902 W. Warner Ave. and 2032 W. Bradley Place.

Share photos from the day as part of the association's Instagram challenge. Tag #NNAYardSale and @nnaneighbor and the two people with the most posts at the end of the day will receive a $25 gift card to Bottles & Cans.

Roscoe Village, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Just up the road from Northcenter Neighborhood's sale, another 20-plus homes in Roscoe Village are hosting their own event.

The Villa, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

If you've never been to The Villa, Saturday's yard sale is a terrific reason to pay a visit to this historic district. Allow extra time to admire the charming Craftsman and Prairie-style homes set along boulevard-type streets.

The area is bounded by Pulaski, Addison, Hamlin and Avondale. More than 20 houses are taking part in the garage sale.

Old Irving Village, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Pick up deals on toys, electronics and sporting equipment for the kids; appliances, collectibles and antiques for adults; clothing and shoes for all ages.

Shop 3801-3827 N. Milwaukee Ave., between Kilbourn and Kilpatrick.

Bowmanville, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Upward of 80 homes are taking part in Bowmanville's annual sale. According to organizers, items range from tools to toys, furniture to fine art and everything in between.

The neighborhood's boundaries are Foster to Bowmanville and Ravenswood to Western.
