HYDE PARK — Illinois residents should fish out their IDs because the Museum of Science and Industry is having six free days in the next week starting on Wednesday.

Entry to the museum at 5700 S. Lake Shore Drive will be free for Illinois residents with proof of an in-state address on Wednesday through Friday and Monday through June 8.

This is the last chance to catch a free day at the museum until September.

The offer applies during the June hours for the museum from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., but does not include some of the special exhibits.

The “Brick by Brick” exhibit, which includes more than a dozen large-scale Lego creations by local Lego master builder Adam Reed Tucker, requires a special timed ticket for entry into the exhibit. Tickets for the exhibit are $9 for adults and $7 for children ages 3-11.
