MCKINLEY PARK — Ald. George Cardenas (12th) welcomes the neighborhood to the 13th Annual Bike The 12th Ward event.
The bicycle festival is set for June 18, running from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at LA Fitness, 2620 W. Pershing Rd.
The event will include a bike tour of Brighton Park and McKinley Park for kids and adults 11 years old and up, crafts with Home Depot, free health screenings from Friend Family Health and Zumba with LA Fitness instructors.
There will be free bike helmets from Disparti Law Group, free Oak Tree saplings from the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District, free lunch from McDonald's — with a visit from Ronald McDonald — and a bike rodeo for kids under 11 years old.
After the bike tour, there will be a free bike raffle.
Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the tour starts at 11 a.m.
