LINCOLN PARK — Celebrate warm weather with the whole family at the upcoming third annual "Spring Zing" festival.

Put on by neighborhood group Lincoln Central Association, the free fest is set for June 4 at Lincoln Central Park, at the corner of Lincoln and Dickens avenues, beginning at 10 a.m.

At the fest, kids can watch a magic show by magician Sean Masterson, get their faces painted from A Real Mad Hatter, decorate kites and explore a parked Chicago Engine 22 fire truck, among other activities.

Kidical Mass, which encourages families to ride bikes, will end their inaugural ride of the year at the event. Community Volunteer Corps from Lurie Children's Hospital, as well as team members from Performance Bicycle, will be on hand for bike safety tips.

In between activities, adults can munch on free food samples and participate in a raffle and silent auction with prizes valued at more than $5,000.

Public officials, including Ald. Michele Smith (43rd), state Rep. Ann Williams and U.S. Rep Mike Quigley are all scheduled to be there.

The fest is sponsored by Bridgeview Bank, Ann & Robert H Lurie Children’s Hospital & Kohl’s Cares, The Harris Company, Geja’s Cafe, Tom Ward Insurance, Carnival Grocery, AlphaGraphics and Josh Moulton Fine Art.

The fire truck is expected to roll up before noon.
