BRIDGEPORT — Ald. Patrick D. Thompson (11th) will host a community meeting to allow representatives from the Illinois Department of Transportation to give a presentation on the I-55 Managed Lane Project, which could include a noise wall along the Stevenson Expressway.

The meeting is set for 6 p.m. on May 24 at St. Barbara School Hall, 2830 S. Quinn St. Parking will be available on Throop Street.

Earlier this month, IDOT sent out a survey to neighborhood folks identified as "benefited receptors" along the I-55 Managed Lane Project corridor. The package included details about the voting process behind the proposed noise wall, a vote form and a stamped envelope.

IDOT officials plan to explain the proposal and how the voting process works at the May 24 meeting.
