LINCOLN PARK — You don't have to travel to Greektown for an authentic Greek experience.

Lincoln Park's Greek Fest, now in its 39th year, returns to the St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 2701 N. Sheffield Ave., June 3-5.

Expect more than 25 authentic Greek dishes, ranging from gyros and baklava to vegetarian moussaka (casserole) and loukoumades (honey puffs), and drinks to wash it all down.

There also be kid-friendly activities like a bounce house and games, as well as live music from the Perifania Dance Troupe, Chicago Cretan Youth Dance Troupe and the Orpheus Hellenic Folklore Society.

The free fest will be open from 5-11 p.m. June 3, noon-11 p.m. June 4 and noon-10 p.m. June 5. The folk performances are scheduled for June 4-5.

All proceeds from food and drink sales go toward the church.
