ENGLEWOOD — A 51-year-old man was shot and wounded in Englewood Monday afternoon, police said.

Around 2 p.m., the man was standing on the front porch of a home in the 6700 block of South Green Street when a group of men walked up and shot at him, according to Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was brought to Advocate Christ Medical Center with gunshot wounds in his chest and buttocks, Alfaro said. Police could not provide his condition but said he was "stable."

No one is in custody, Alfaro said.
